Young People, Schools and Family Worker

Barton, Brigg and Wolds Methodist Circuit

We are seeking to appoint a full time Young People, Schools and Family Worker to expand and develop our existing work with secondary schools, young people and families.

This is a new, exciting opportunity for a creative and energetic person to increase the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of young people and their families through:

  • Increased engagement with young people
  • Greater involvement of young people in the community
  • Provision of safe opportunities for young people to grow and develop
  • Development of healthier ways of living for young people and families, developing opportunities, reducing risks of substance and alcohol abuse, promotion of healthy eating and improving mental health and well-being
  • Increased awareness of and involvement in Christian activities


An Enhanced DBS disclosure with barring check will be required for this position.

It is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder should be a practising Christian.

MAIN TERMS

  • Hours of work: 35 hours per week, which may include some evening and weekend working
  • Contract: Permanent, dependent on continuation of funding
  • Salary: £23,000 per annum with enrolment in the Circuit's workplace pension scheme
  • Location: Based at Oikos-Brigg 67 Wrawby Street Brigg DN20 8JE
