The Leaders of Worship and Preachers' Homes (LWPHomes), which is the successor to Local Preachers' Mutual Aid Homes (LPMA Homes) was set up by Methodist Local Preachers to look after local preachers and their dependents in need of care. The first Home was opened at Westcliff-on-Sea in 1949 and this was followed by Homes in Minehead and Woodhall Spa. Last year they celebrated 75 years of Christian Care in LWPHomes.
