Funding for warm spaces projects

The District Resourcing Mission Group has decided to allocate some money from the District Advance Fund and a Mission in Britain grant to help Methodist churches in Lincolnshire host "warm spaces" during the current energy/cost of living crisis.

A simple application form asks for details of what you plan to do and estimates of expenditure and other income.

Criteria for warm spaces grants for winter of 2022/2023

Grants will be offered to support churches wishing to create spaces and refreshments during the winter months in response to the cost of living crisis/energy crisis.

Grant applications can only be made for new or additional work created in response to the current cost of living crisis. You may already have started this work in the last few weeks or are planning to start imminently.

Any grant from the District for your warm space project will be based upon up to 1/3 of the total costs for six months of operating the warm space up to a maximum of £1,000 per church. We expect Circuits who have more than adequate reserves to also contribute to the costs of these warm spaces.

You are encouraged to work ecumenically where possible.

The application form is available to download on this page.

Please note that the Emergency Welfare Fund iss still open to applications to meet other kinds of emergency need.
