Excitement is building for the first Festival of Chaplaincy taking place in Lincoln Cathedral on Saturday 22nd March and Sunday 23rd March.
Over 20 different chaplaincies including the RAF, waterways, schools, hospitals, hospices and ports will be providing information on their work. There will be interactive activities for all the family on both the exhibition stands and on the Table for the Nations.
A series of talks will take place during the day from the Queen Victoria Seamen's Rest, Agricultural Chaplaincy, Community Healthcare Chaplaincy with the first talk focusing on the history of chaplaincy. The talks will be interspersed with performances by local choirs and music groups.
Entry to the Cathedral is FREE ensuring that visitors from far and wide can come and explore what is on offer.
On Sunday there is a special evensong at 3.45pm with guest preacher The Venerable Dr Giles Legood, Chaplain in Chief of the RAF Chaplains Branch and Archdeacon for the Royal Air Force.
