Policies and procedures are in place to help us in responding well but also to protect those in safeguarding roles so they are sure how to do so.

The District safeguarding polices are reviewed each year and always take account of the learning from local and national practice and especially those situations which have brought fresh wisdom and new experiences.

In order to localise the national policy, the District has a range of policies and procedures in place and you can download those here. The church and circuit policies were updated on 4th September 2023 and others will follow shortly.
