School Uniforms for free

Scartho Methodist Church is in the catchment area of a secondary school that has over 2,000 pupils and at the end of the lockdown, the village Facebook page was full of people who's children had grown out of uniform and couldn't get any new. We decided to start a uniform bank for the school and have been running it ever since. We advertise on the village Facebook pages and take uniform that pupils have grown out of and pass it on to others for free. We are open every Saturday morning during our usual free coffee morning and during that time have kitted out several families who are new to the area, some who are new to the country including Ukrainian refugees, families who are happy to wear recycled uniform and many families who have found themselves unable to afford new uniform. It has been really easy to run and has been really good to get to know some of the families in our local area and to offer a service where we require nothing in return.
