Our Story Our Song – Ruskington's contribution

A member of our Church family at Ruskingon has been instrumental in introducing us to British Sign Language, signing to some of the hymns sung during a service.

Indeed we have been learning BSL signs for words that may often be used on a Sunday morning, such as, “The peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you”.

As we endeavour to be a welcoming and inclusive space, the idea of signing the chorus of Blessed Assurance came about. It is our small way of raising awareness of this beautiful language, and highlighting issues associated with hearing loss.
