Applications are invited for the post of part time Church Family Worker, based at Louth Methodist Church in the East Lincolnshire Methodist Circuit. The aim of this post is to support church events in order to build relationships with fringe members and occasional visitors to the church, signposting them to relevant activities and groups in order to draw them in and encourage progression from

This permanent post requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, with some flexibility but including regular involvement in Sunday’s Exalt service. We anticipate a start date of 1 January 2019 (or earlier if possible). The starting salary is £10/hour. A satisfactory enhanced DBS check is required.

The successful applicant will work in partnership with the Minister and volunteers, to develop relationships with families and children, supporting existing work and creatively developing new initiatives. Our church is committed to sharing the good news of Jesus with the people of Louth, so it is important that we appoint a Christian who demonstrates a passion for relationship-based evangelism.

This appointment is made at an exciting time in the life of the church, which has a new Superintendent Minister, well established family and children’s activities, and some innovative and novel approaches to worship.
